This post will recap the couple of days leading up to The Worthington's big day. Thursday evening before the wedding, we had rehearsal. And Friday night was a calm & casual night for Amber as her last night being Miss Schlomka before becoming Mrs Worthington!
6/2: Rehearsal Night: This night really allowed everyone present to see that all of the hard work was really coming together- and soon! It was about 4:30pm when Jamie, Gabriel {the ring bearer} and I headed out to the Carlson Towers of Minnetonka, this was the location of both the ceremony & reception dinner/dance.
We hit bumper to bumper traffic the entire way from the MOA out to the towers- being MOH... I didn't want to be LATE! {this is so like me to be late, but honestly I have been MUCH better about my time management these days!}
After arriving and a few introductions {p.s. we were not late}, all of us made our way out to the outdoor amphitheater- which was beautiful {I had no idea how beautiful it would be in the days to follow as well}. After standing in place and listening carefully to the given instructions- we practiced from the top- practice makes perfect for a perfect wedding day!
Gabriel, as ring bearer, did SO well walking the whole way {with a little help}- much better than Jamie and I both had anticipated. We were only hoping that it would go just as smoothly with a crowd of eyeballs watching him on wedding day.
After the run through we gathered again inside the rotunda to tie up any and all loose ends- and I of course had to get a photo with Gabriel before we headed back home. Jamie, Gabriel and I stopped to have dinner and then Gabriel and I headed North to Forest Lake so that Gabriel could have a sleepover at Grandma & Grandpa Ertle's and spend Friday with Grandma E!

6/3: The "Night Before": Friday night Aaron and I made our way into Minneapolis to The W, which is such a FUN hotel! You kind of forget that you are even in MN when you step inside this place! The atmosphere is so fun, funky and dark... but in a good way!!
Aaron and I were not able to make it to Mpls in time to meet up with Amber, Randy and the families for their reservation at Seven Steakhouse- which was a bummer! BUT with work and our house/tiki sitter showing up LATE it made it really hard for us to get out the door in time. But there were no worries, we were able to meet up with everyone later on.

After checking out our room & dropping of all of our bags, Aaron and I decided to walk a block or two and found a fun Italian place call Zelo and had two wonderful pasta dishes! After dinner and STUFFED, we then headed back to the hotel where we hung out waiting to meet up with the soon to be married couple!
While we waiting we stopped by the lobby bar where Aaron ordered a White Russian and the bartender fulfilled a special request that only an 8.5 month pregnant lady, sitting at the bar, would make... "I take a root beer float... if you've got one" {totally joking of course} BUT the bartender said "I can make that happen!" and without any hesitation, he disappeared and was back about 5 minutes later with a SUPER delicious root beer float! {p.s. if baby sonnek comes out as a keg of root beer or a gallon of vanilla ice cream, I will not be surprised one bit!} hahaha! my root beer float cravings are OUT. OF. CONTROL.
Soon enough we met up with Randy, Amber & Co., hung out for a bit before heading up to the sky bar, Prohibition on the 27th floor. Unfortunately, the outdoor observation deck closed at 9/10pm so we weren't actually able to enjoy the "sky bar" but anyway, this is where we hung out for the rest of the night. The soon to be married love-birds headed to their suite at about 10-10:30pm {BIG DAY TOMORROW}. After Aaron and I finished our drink and conversation with the families- we headed up around 11:15-11:30pm. I still needed to do my nails, practice my MOH speech and get a good nights rest!
...stay tuned for WEDDING DAY!!!
